DPDP Training for the People Who Handle Your Data

AuditDPDP is the DPDP awareness training service of Xcodefix Global. It teaches the staff who see customer, patient, student and employee data how India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act applies to the work in front of them, and it keeps a record of who has been trained so you can show it when asked.

Why DPDP Compliance Comes Down to People

What AuditDPDP covers, from industry programmes and board briefings to audit evidence

Most incidents do not begin with an attacker. They begin with an ordinary shortcut, taken by someone who was never told it mattered:

  • A lab report sent to an unverified number on WhatsApp
  • A full customer export copied to a personal spreadsheet to work from home
  • ID photocopies left in an unlocked drawer at the front desk
  • Production data copied to a test server to chase a bug
  • A purchased contact list loaded into a marketing campaign
  • A suspected breach noticed on a Friday and reported to no one until Monday

The Act makes every organisation a Data Fiduciary for the personal data it decides to process, and the DPDP Rules, 2025 set out what that means in practice:

  • Reasonable security safeguards, including organisational measures as well as technical ones
  • Breach intimation to the Data Protection Board and to the people affected
  • Notices people can understand, and consent that is as easy to withdraw as it was to give
  • Verifiable parental consent before processing the personal data of anyone under 18
  • Penalties of up to ₹250 crore where reasonable security safeguards were not taken

Software can record consent and encrypt a database, but it cannot stop a well-meaning employee from forwarding the wrong file. AuditDPDP is built for that gap: short, practical lessons that show each role what DPDP means for the systems and situations they deal with every day.

It is designed and delivered by the Xcodefix Global compliance and security team that runs our DPDP, GDPR, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 engagements. It has its own home at auditdpdp.com, where HR and compliance teams in India can review the programmes, take the readiness test and book a consultation directly.

How the Training Is Built

Mapped to the Law

Each module points to the sections of the Act and the Rules it covers, and the content is revised as MeitY and the Data Protection Board publish changes, so the course does not quietly fall out of date.

Written for Indian Workplaces

Scenarios come from Indian hospitals, banks, schools, shops and offices: shared logins, WhatsApp groups, collection calls and ID photocopies, rather than translated GDPR material.

Evidence You Can File

Completion registers, quiz results and signed attestations can be downloaded at any time, giving auditors, enterprise clients and the Board a record of training rather than an assurance.

What AuditDPDP Offers

Employee E-Learning

Self-paced micro-lessons with short quizzes that staff can finish on a phone between tasks, with no app to install and a completion certificate at the end.

Role-Based Workshops

Live sessions, online or onsite across India, for the teams with the most exposure: sales, HR, customer support, front desk and IT.

Leadership and Board Briefings

A focused session for directors and senior managers on accountability, penalties and the governance decisions the Act places on their desk.

Industry Programmes

Separate programmes for healthcare, banking and fintech, retail and e-commerce, education, SaaS and IT, hospitality, HR and BPO, and marketing and messaging teams.

Application Tracks

Lessons organised around the software people actually open, from CRM and HRMS to hospital systems, messaging tools and shared spreadsheets, because that is where data leaves.

Breach Response Drills

Tabletop exercises that rehearse spotting, escalating and reporting a personal data breach, so the first real incident is not the first time anyone has tried.

Train-the-Trainer

Licensed content and a facilitator kit for organisations that would rather have their own HR or compliance team run the sessions.

Who AuditDPDP Is For

Organisations With Front-Line Teams

Hospitals, banks, schools, retailers and hotels where many people handle personal data every day, and one careless moment can become a reportable breach.

Data Processors Serving Indian Clients

Software, IT services and BPO firms whose clients increasingly expect proof that the people touching their data have been trained.

Teams Already Trained on GDPR

Organisations with GDPR or ISO 27001 awareness in place that need the India-specific parts, such as consent managers, children’s data and Board reporting, added without starting again.

How a Rollout Works

Step 1

Consultation and Baseline

We learn about your teams and the systems they use, and staff take a short readiness test to establish a starting point.

Step 2

A Training Plan for Your Teams

Learning paths are assembled by role, industry and application, with the timeline and costs agreed before anything is launched.

Step 3

Launch to Your Teams

Learners are enrolled from a CSV or your HRMS and invited by WhatsApp or email, and live workshops are scheduled around shifts.

Step 4

Track Progress

A dashboard shows completion and quiz results by department, and reminders go out automatically to anyone falling behind.

Step 5

Evidence and Annual Refresh

Download the evidence pack whenever it is needed, and refresh the training each year as the Rules and your teams change.

Why Organisations Choose AuditDPDP

Backed by a Security Firm

AuditDPDP comes from the Xcodefix Global compliance and security practice, which has worked across healthcare IT, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance since 2008.

No Wasted Training Time

Each learner sees examples from their own industry, role and software, so a receptionist is not sitting through a module written for developers.

Short and Mobile-First

Lessons take between five and fourteen minutes and work on any phone, which is what makes completion realistic for shift-based teams.

Audit-Ready From the Start

Time-stamped completion records and attestations build up as people train, instead of being assembled in a hurry when an auditor asks.

Honest About Certification

Neither the Act nor the Rules creates an official staff certification. AuditDPDP certificates record completion and a passed quiz, and say so plainly.

Kept Current With the Rules

Content is reviewed as MeitY and the Data Protection Board issue changes, and refresher training is scheduled every year.

Delivered Online and Across India

AuditDPDP is designed for organisations operating in India, from a single clinic to a multi-city enterprise. Self-paced lessons reach every location at once, while live workshops run online or at your premises.

Common Questions About AuditDPDP

AuditDPDP is the DPDP awareness training service of Xcodefix Global. It trains the staff of Indian organisations on the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025, and records each learner’s progress as evidence.

The Act does not prescribe a particular course. It does require every Data Fiduciary to take reasonable security safeguards, and the Rules include organisational measures among them. Trained staff, with records to show for it, are the most practical way to demonstrate that.

Anyone who can see customer, patient, student or employee data, along with vendors that process data on your behalf. Roles with light exposure get shorter paths, while administrators and IT teams go deeper.

The DPDP Rules were notified on 13 November 2025. Consent manager registration begins on 13 November 2026, and the core obligations, including notice, consent, security safeguards, breach reporting and data principal rights, apply from 13 May 2027.

It is a useful foundation, but DPDP differs in ways that matter: consent managers, verifiable parental consent for anyone under 18, breach reporting to the Data Protection Board and India-specific penalties. AuditDPDP covers those differences without repeating what your teams already know.

No. Neither the Act nor the Rules creates an official certification for staff training. An AuditDPDP certificate records that a learner completed the course and passed its quiz. It is evidence of training for your audit file, not a government certification or a guarantee of compliance.

No. AuditDPDP is an independent training provider and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology or the Data Protection Board of India. Its content explains the law in plain language and is not legal advice.

Yes. Live workshops run onsite across India or online, alongside the self-paced lessons that staff complete on their own devices.

They work together. Our DPDP privacy compliance service covers applicability, data mapping, notices, consent and controls, while AuditDPDP trains the people who operate those controls day to day. Many organisations use both.
