Records that travel
Patients who go home to Kerala or another district need reports and discharge summaries they can carry or share. ABHA-linked records and secure report delivery cut the paper they have to carry.
Our team works from Coimbatore. Among healthcare IT companies in Coimbatore, we focus on what growing multi-specialty hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers and dental practices need next: moving off desktop software to a cloud HMS, getting ready for ABDM, protecting IT run by one or two people, and reaching patients by website, SMS and WhatsApp.

Coimbatore district borders the Palakkad and Idukki districts of Kerala, and its hospitals draw patients from well beyond the city. Aravind Eye Hospital notes that its Coimbatore hospital, opened in 1997, sits close to the Kerala and Karnataka borders and serves the north-western part of Tamil Nadu. KMCH's international patient page says it serves patients from more than 50 countries through a dedicated international desk. A patient base spread that widely changes what hospital IT has to do.

Reminders, review appointments and teleconsult links have to reach patients who live hours away, in the language they read.
Out-of-town referrals and insurance approvals depend on documents moving quickly between your HMS, the referring doctor and the payer.
If your HMS runs on a server in the records room, reached from reception PCs during the day and over remote desktop after hours, moving it is less about the cloud than about what comes along with it.

Under Tamil Nadu's clinical establishment rules of 2018, a hospital keeps each patient's medical case record for at least a decade, and full pregnancy records for the same period. A migration that only carries forward open cases leaves you with an old server you can never switch off.
We migrate historical data with record counts and spot checks signed off by your records team, so the old system can be retired.
CERT-In's 2024 ransomware report describes the Makop group breaking in through exposed Remote Desktop Protocol services and Mallox brute-forcing publicly exposed Microsoft SQL servers. A desktop HMS opened to the internet for after-hours access fits that pattern, so closing those paths is part of the move, not an afterthought.
Depending on the product, we either move your existing HMS onto cloud infrastructure or migrate your data into a new cloud HMS. Our AWS cloud migration service covers the infrastructure side.
Modules in use, database size, links to lab machines and billing, the user list, and how far back your records go.
Rehost the current HMS on cloud servers, move to the vendor's hosted edition, or replace it. Each workload gets its own decision.
A full trial migration into a test environment, with patient counts, bill totals and sample records checked by your own staff.
A planned window, a paper or offline fallback for the front desk, and a rollback path if checks fail.
Archive and wipe it once records are verified, and shut the remote access routes that served it.
Where we work: our team is based in Coimbatore. For hospitals in Tiruppur, Erode, the Nilgiris or across the Kerala border, the same work runs remotely over video calls and shared trackers. Server hardware and cabling stay with your hardware vendor.
Getting ready for ABDM is mostly registration, front-desk habit and software capability. The software build is covered on our healthcare software development page; this is the operational side.
List the hospital, clinic or lab in the Health Facility Registry; joining is optional under ABDM. ABDM's guide describes a facility manager signing in with a Healthcare Professional ID to submit the details.
Doctors and other professionals enroll in the Healthcare Professionals Registry, which charges no registration fee, so shared records carry verified practitioner identities.
Reception staff ask for an ABHA number or address at registration and link it to the hospital's patient ID, without making it a condition of treatment.
NHA's Digital Health Incentive Scheme began on January 1, 2023 and has been amended repeatedly. Corrigendum 6, covering November 2025 to March 2026, limited record-linking incentives to KYC-verified ABHA addresses and kept a minimum of 100 transactions a month. Confirm current terms on abdm.gov.in.
When one or two people cover everything from printers to the HMS, security has to be simple enough to keep running every week.
An external scan for open remote desktop, database and admin ports, followed by secured remote access for staff who work after hours.
Daily backups of the HMS database and documents, copied off-site and test-restored on a schedule, so ransomware does not decide your recovery.
Manual and tool-based testing of your website, patient portal and internal network, followed by a second pass to confirm the fixes hold.
Short sessions for front desk, billing and nursing staff on spotting phishing email and fake payment or courier messages.
We run the cloud servers we migrate you to: monitoring, patching, hardening and verified backups.
Testing runs under our VAPT service, with a written report your management can act on.
Doctor profiles, specialties, timings, directions and an appointment request form, built for patchy mobile connections and kept current by your own staff.
SMS to Indian numbers needs DLT registration of your business, sender header and message templates. Under a TRAI direction effective October 1, 2024, operators block commercial SMS carrying links the sender has not whitelisted, so report and payment links must be registered first.
Approved message templates for appointment confirmations, report-ready alerts and follow-up reminders, with replies routed to your front desk.
Check-up and treatment-plan reminders for dental practices, sent by SMS or WhatsApp from the practice's own patient list.
Opt-in and opt-out records stored with each patient's contact details, ready for the DPDP Act's notice and consent duties as they take effect.
Messaging runs on our bulk SMS gateway and WhatsApp Business messaging services, with DLT and TRAI compliance handled during setup. Hospital and clinic websites come from our web design and development team.
We serve hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers and dental practices in Coimbatore and the surrounding districts. Outside the city, engagements run over video calls and written reports.
Areas we serve
Our engineers work from Coimbatore and Chennai, so you deal with people in your own region and time zone.
Our clients page features Care Coimbatore and Covai Cosmetic Surgery in its healthcare section; both appear there as engagements of Xcodefix India.
The same company handles your HMS hosting, security testing and patient messaging, so nothing falls between vendors.
Founded in 2008, Xcodefix employs more than 60 software engineers and developers of its own.
Tell us what you run today and what is holding you back: an aging HMS server, ABDM, security or patient communication. Expect a reply from our Coimbatore office inside one business day, with a short plan attached.

Talk to the specialist who would scope the work — not a call-centre script.
Ask us directlyAsk whether they can handle the whole chain: migrating HMS data with verification, securing remote access, running backups that actually restore, preparing ABDM registration and running patient messaging under DLT rules. Ask for named healthcare clients you can check, and how quickly they respond to a security incident.
Often, yes. If your vendor's license permits it and the product runs on standard Windows or Linux servers, we can rehost it on cloud infrastructure with secured remote access. If it cannot run that way, the vendor's hosted edition or a new cloud HMS may be the better route.
The Tamil Nadu Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Rules, 2018 require a hospital to keep each patient's medical case record for not less than ten years, and full pregnancy records for at least ten years. Other laws or court matters can demand longer retention, so check with your legal adviser before deleting anything.
Not by ABDM itself: registering the facility is optional according to its guide, and an ABHA is created only if the patient wants one. Registering does give access to ABDM services and to incentive schemes when NHA runs them. Government schemes or insurers you work with may set their own requirements, so check those contracts.
The usual causes are a sender header or template not registered on DLT, message text that does not match the approved template, or a link that has not been whitelisted, which TRAI has required since October 1, 2024. We check each against your DLT records and operator delivery reports.
Although we are based in Coimbatore, the service itself runs over secure remote connections, alerting and booked sessions with your staff. Fixing hardware, laying cable and installing desktops are outside it, so for physical jobs we line up your hardware supplier or your own technician and hand them clear instructions.
Yes, through the WhatsApp Business API with approved message templates and the patient's opt-in. Reminders, confirmations and recall messages suit this channel. Keep clinical details out of the message itself, link to a secure page instead, and record consent so you can show it later under the DPDP Act.
By removing the riskiest exposures first and automating routine work. That usually means closing internet-facing remote desktop and database ports, setting up monitored backups with test restores, patching on a schedule and testing the patient-facing systems. Your IT person keeps control while we take on the repetitive load.
